Cyra’s coffee thoughts

Cyra grew tired . Day in and day out. She was falling into a rut. She wanted to do something with her life. Her life did not revolve only in being domesticated . She was growing into a bitter frustration.

One morning she just left everything and took herself for coffee. She wanted to get away from the usual.

She impulsively joined a book reading group. Enjoyed herself thoroughly. They planned to do a poem reading session too.

She sat with her thoughts and coffee thinking of what she had envisaged of life.

Was she just getting into a rut. Had she forgotten herself?

Only taking care of others.

She realised finally . She had to think of where wanted too.

Mostly after a time we put ourselves into a timetable. From morning to night all planned. Spontaneity takes a backseat .

If you want to honour yourself . Learn to take out time for yourself.

Meet your friends over coffee or meals. Plan a fun shopping trip. Indulge in a hobby . You are more . You are just not a wife or a mother .

Your are “ You”!

What are you doing for the” You”.

We are so conditioned to put our priorities before us.

Are you a “ Priority”!

Have you put yourself on the top.

Sadly most of the time it will be a no.

Sometimes you just need to be out. Take yourself for a drive. Treat yourself to your favourite thing. But something you have been longing to. Feel good!

Dress up . Feel good factor goes a long way in keeping you happy. You need time away from the family too. Do not feel guilty about it.

You owe yourself that.

Cyra found hers. She was a much happier person after she realised it. She made excellent like minded friends. Once a week she dropped everything and gave time to herself.

Are you ready to do that 😊

Simone’s spa day turns disastrous!

Simone had planned her spa day since weeks with her besties. Unfortunately on the day of the spa, they both could not make it. Unforeseen crisis!

Simone did not feel like going on her own, so she decided to stay home . She suddenly hit upon a brilliant idea. She planned her own home spa. Quickly excitedly she dropped the children to her mom’s place.

Rushed to the store and bought all the things required for her home spa. She got impulsive and bought some scented candles as well.

Excitedly she came home and started getting ready.she had just lit her candles. Arranged all her things. Just then she felt a gush of water near her feet. She thought the tub had filled and was overflowing.

Her expression turned to horror . Her bathroom was flooding from all sides . She quickly turned the tub tap off. Called the maintenance person.

Her water pipe had burst flooding the whole place!

So much for her home spa πŸ§–‍♂️.

For the next couple of hours, she was drying the carpets. Drying the water out . Finally in the end , she fell into a deep sleep. Her candles burnt out and turned to liquid wax. All her spa essentials neatly laid out without being used.

Dreaming of her spa!

In the end !

It truly was a dream! Which didn’t get fulfilled!

Memories With my Dad

Each year the memories come back stronger. All the beautiful years and moments spent in your company.
I hold it dearly in the album of my life!

When I turn the pages ,
Each comes back,
More stronger!
Than Ever!
Distances!
Time!
So much!
That separates us!
Dear Dad!
But your presence!
Is always felt!
Strongly!
Every living Moment!

Today when I see where I have come to.My passion of writing and reading all inculcated by you.
Every night you read bed time stories to me. Still remember the twinkle in your eye! The laughter! The patience with which you read to me!
I miss so many of those moments!
Sometimes I long to sit and read out my poems to you.
Wonder what you would have thought of them!
But I know deep down you must be reading them from up there!
I always hold the values dearly which you instilled in us.
Held like a legacy by each one of us.
Till we meet again.

Missing out on joyous moments!

 So true!

Joy just comes. If we don’t hold it and enjoy it, it can be just as flighty and fleeting.

When joy knocks! Welcome it.

Firstly we have to come out of our to do list OCD.

We are so compelled and captured by our routines, we forget to enjoy life.

Just keep going through it like a boring routine.

Each day there is always something to look forward to and be grateful for.

When we truly appreciate the moment and value it, that’s when we live it.

Life is divided into moments of joy and sadness.

How much we divide it with joyous moments is truly what keeps us marching ahead.

Laughing keeps the tears and years off !

Poetry and it’s effect on emotions!

 https://youtu.be/zkEQhrdzIcI

It was a very enriching experience speaking of poetry and it’s effect on emotions. I never paid much attention to this when I penned my poems.I would just go by my moods and the flow of it.

When I consciously say down and thought of it, it actually plays a very important role.

The other day I was attend cartoon picture Prompt. As I started writing, so many of my childhood memories came surfing up. Long forgotten!

So many which I had never remembered for so many years. Effortlessly pulled out from the treasure chest of memories.

It was so nostalgic to visit them. Along with that Came some more.

Poetry does a play a very vital role!

I have discussed it in the episode above and pasted the link too.

Have a lovely day ahead 😊

Coffee Tales

It was a beautiful cloudy morning. I woke up feeling lazy. Still contemplating my breakfast. Pulling myself together to do something. Just then my friend sent this picture of a coffee shoot. It instantly brought poetry and a smile to my being. The flow of words started flowing of their own accord. Coffee does this to meπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€.

Totally irresistible!

I have a fetish for coffee and it has to be served in pretty mugs!πŸ™ˆ Sounds like a tall order!

But in fact, I like my coffee in pretty tall mugs.

There’s something about sitting in a garden looking out at the blooms , blossoms and sipping your ☕️ coffee.

Lost in the freshness of the morning munching on fresh baked cookies and dainty sandwiches.

πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ I already feel invigorated!

Rejuvenated in thoughts!

Have a lovely day ahead!

Keep smiling in cofficious fervour!

Stay blessed. Stay safe beautiful souls out there😊😊

Cinnamon Tales!

Granny Brown was the sweet little granny we all always envisaged. She lived in a cute little cottage with red gabled roof. A garden of fragrance and warmth greeted us. She was proud of her little garden, taken care by her exclusively.

She lived down the road . It was called the bakers paradise by us. We were always welcomed with warm arms and warmer aromas wafting from her kitchen.

There was never a visit of ours, when we were not fed with her baked delicacies. We were greeted with cool ginger ale on a hit summer afternoon and yummy treats. She kept us entertained in her cool drawing room with stories of what had been in her youth.

She was our favourite!

After years today I still think of her fondly and miss her immensely.

Easter and Christmas was always special with granny Brown. We were greeted with cute little gifts, her love , warmth and our favourite cup cakes.

She would make us special chocolates too.

How I miss those days when we sat with her and enjoyed our carefree moments!

Today I just remember all that and smile for what I have experienced!

Glad to have been gifted those beautiful memories!
